Goodbye to "Jack Tyler Dines" and Hello to "Culinary Houston".
Long-time Houston food writer/blogger, Jack Tyler has announced that his dining and food blog, Jack Tyler Dines will be renamed Culinary Houston. After four years of restaurant reviews, Tyler has decided to tie his dining blog more closely to his Facebook fan page, Culinary Houston. The Facebook page boasts as many as 32,000 page views per month and his former blog, Jack Tyler Dines attracted thousands of foodie readers each month. His blog posts draw as many as 6,000 to 7,000 views on articles such as “Taste of Chicago… Da dogs, Da Italian Beefs and Pizzas in Houston?”
Tyler, a private chef and a travel and food writer since 1976, also writes a blog named Jack Tyler’s Mexico which focuses on the regional cuisines and indigenous people of Mexico. He is former publisher of Mexico Travel & Lifemagazine, as well as many other magazines in the Houston area, including Greater Houston Restaurant Business, Museum & Arts Houston, Theatre and the Performing Arts and co-founder of Performing Arts magazine.
